Workshop: Neal Greenspan – Perfect your pitch
’Perfect Your Pitch’ will cover the meaning behind what a pitch actually is. It will blow away the myth that a pitch is only something those in the fields of IT and Biotech do in front of Venture Capitalists, Business Angels and banks.
Attendees will learn when they are pitching, how they pitch, the good and bad and ins and outs of what I consider a proper pitch. This translates to all attendees as member of Toastmasters since at some point, as we are all spokespeople for this organization.
If you have your own business, you will benefit by learning how to break out of the chains of today’s definition of what a pitch is has put you in. If you don’t have your own business, you will learn how important it is to hone your personal pitch in order for you to get the most out of your career.
The Perfect Your Pitch seminar will provide details on how to make your pitch clearer, more persuasive and effective. In leaving, attendees will really understand that we all pitch and will have a totally new appreciation for what pitching really means.
‘Pitching is not just for IT entrepreneurs!’

Workshop: Barbara Hoerger & Margaret Jankowsky: The HPL Project: “Knowledge is a treasure but practice is the key to it.” (Thomas Fuller)
What does the High Performance Leadership Project (HPL) have in common with real life?
- What qualifies as a “project”?
- How do I find a team?
- How do I lead them?
- How do I deal with difficulties?
- Who should be on my guidance committee?
- How can it help me to develop, both as a Toastmaster and as a person?
- How can it help me career wise?
These are some of the issues we will be addressing during this interactive workshop. Our objective is to increase awareness of the High Performance Leadership as a leadership learning tool. After our workshop you will recognize that the steps to completing the project and the learning effect are more important than the outcome.
Come prepared to ask questions and participate in the discussion, which is ongoing on LinkedIn and Facebook.
